Assistant Baker

We are looking to fill the assistant baker position where you will help with the day-to-day bakery operations of prepping and creating baked goods alongside the lead baker.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately follow directions to prepare, execute, and present bakery/pastry items in a timely manner while cultivating a positive attitude and work ethic.
• Support the lead baker with dough and batter set ups, preparation and cleanup
• Meet and work with the lead baker on upcoming events, work orders and changes.
• Share in quality control and food cost responsibility through organization, rotation, proper portioning, and utilizing logs, inventory, and other systematic spreadsheets
• Maintain proper storage of food and supplies, adhering to all ServSafe, allergen certification, CDC and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe restaurant, adhering to all health and sanitation guidelines.
• Participate in and perform any additional tasks and jobs that may be required for the overall success of the team, including dishes, restaurant upkeep, opening/closing procedures, and staff meetings.

Requirements:

• 1 year of baking experience , but will work with anyone that has the right attitude and drive to learn and grow

Schedule: 4 days, 25hrs/wk average

Compensation: $16-18/hr
