Summary

Intern Position will support the Sustainability Policy and Programs department in performing carbon emsissions accounting, reporting, and documentation to facilitate tracking progress toward SRP's 2035 Sustainability Goals.

Applicant must have excellent analytical, organizational, networking, and writing skills. Applicant must have a strong ability to dissect complex datasets and concepts and be capable of documenting their approaches, a willingness to work collaboratively across multiple departments to solve complicated problems, and a commitment to quality and attention to detail.

What You'll Do

Within this role, the intern would be expected to support the sustainability team in the annual collection and reporting of carbon emissions and other sustainability-related data from across the company to include in public reports, inform executive-level dialogue, and integrate into a software platform.

Tasks could include data collection, reporting and analysis, process documentation, relationship building, research, and project coordination. Additional support will likely be needed outside of carbon accounting to assist the sustainability team in other project areas and gain exposure to other core sustainability functions at SRP.

Education

College level coursework (100 ) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

Additional Information

One-year internship with flexible work hours to accommodate academic schedules and vacations.

Sustainability degree program preferred but not required. Pay rate depends on completed credit hours.

Candidate must be currently enrolled and attending a minimum of 6 college credit hours per semester.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
