Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our food manufacturing process in our ready to eat food facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. Duties
- Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of machinery, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and mechanical standards.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production schedules and resource allocation.
- Train, mentor, and develop plant staff to foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Utilize SAP systems for inventory management, production tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Ensure adherence to quality control measures to meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plant management or operations management within a food processing plant.
- Strong knowledge of systems related to production planning, food safety, quality control, and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of PCQI and HAACP.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement methodologies.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
