Saltmine is Hiring a Solutions Engineer Near San Francisco, CA

Introduction:

Saltmine is a SaaS startup rebuilding the $300B workspace design-build market. We are combining modern technology with deep industry expertise to transform the process from workplace strategy to programming to design to costing and procurement.

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to play a variety of roles as a platform expert, product demonstrator, and occasional trainer in the Saltmine platform. Our Solutions Engineering organization works directly with prospective customers and their projects to generate deliverables and demonstrations using Saltmine.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales or Proof of Concept Stage:

  • Partner with the sales team to answer a prospect’s technical, software, and real estate questions
  • Work with Sales team to uncover client needs and craft consultative bespoke demos to illustrate solutions
  • Perform product demonstrations for specific use cases and present the technical details as needed.
  • Answer customer questions, and incorporate new and advanced features into these presentations as appropriate. 
  • Perform needs analysis calls on prospective clients to thoroughly and accurately understand their challenges
  • Partner with internal operations and design teams to deliver custom demonstrations of all Saltmine modules based on prospect and client needs and data 
  • Complete ROI analysis for prospective clients
  • Assist Sales and Proposal team to answer RFPs, RFIs, pricing and Proposals

Ongoing:

  • Stay current on new product functionality and its proper use. Provide and review Saltmine best practices, use case scenarios and prospective client stories both internally and externally (including community) to assist prospective clients with expanded use of application functionality
  • As a power user of Saltmine, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure we have the best product possible. From product requests to logging issues, you’ll be part of the making of this revolutionary platform.

Attributes and Characteristics:

  • Quickly pick up software and have a high level of comfort acting as a consultative expert and leading Executive level presentations
  • Creative problem solver who can identify and efficiently sort critical information, possessing a high comfort level interacting with and influencing executive-level professionals
  • Superior multi-tasking and project management skills in a constantly changing environment
  • Self starter team player
  • Organized and able to track multiple work streams and prioritize in terms of urgency and impact
  • Hungry for growth and excited to take on additional responsibility as the organization grows

Skills Experience:

  • 1-5 years in workplace or interior design
  • Experience creating high quality presentations
  • Basic experience with design softwares like CAD, Revit, or Sketchup
  • Basic project management experience
  • Ownership for content in client-facing environment
