Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to set up, maintain, and operate CNC machinery. You will ensure smooth and efficient operation of production processes, producing high-quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the correct programs/operations.
Training:
Duration: 10 to 12 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00am – 12:00pm
Primary Shift Post-Training: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as wire EDMing, drilling, and grinding
- Understand specifications by reading mechanical drawings
- Translate work orders into CNC programs for the machines
- Load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Monitor machines during operations and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements
- Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator
- Skill in operating CNC machinery and precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Basic understanding of CAD/CAM programming and operation
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Compliance with safety guidelines
