What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Salvatore's Hospitality?
Salvatore’s Hospitality is looking to hire Banquet Servers to join our team. At Salvatore’s Hospitality, we provide service for both on and off-site events, ranging between 50-650 people. Banquet Servers are responsible for setting up events, greeting/seating guests, serving food and drinks throughout the event, and cleaning up the event. Banquet Servers are also responsible for responding to guests' questions, complaints, and special requests
Banquet Server Responsibilities:
- Assist banquet managers in serving guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Set up banquet room as requested to include glassware, service ware, and linen.
- Attend roll call meetings before events start to learn function particulars, including hotel and guest expectations.
- Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests courteously and friendly.
- Serve beverages and food in the appropriate order per the supervisor's expectations to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
- Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal at the end of each meal or function.
- Abide by all corporate acts, laws, and requirements on serving alcoholic beverages.
- Replenish beverages when necessary, and check with guests to ensure they are satisfied.
- Reset banquet rooms following the completion of an event based on the supervisor’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions.
- Follow attendance rules and always go to work regularly.
- Perform other related functions that may be assigned.
- Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
Qualifications:
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The schedule varies based on the events Salvatore’s Hospitality has booked that week.
- Eligible for tips but not guaranteed every shift.
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience as a server or bartender is preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to work well with other members of the team and help co-workers with their job duties.
- Must have basic knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and food/ beverage preparations.
