SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Event Lead provides operational functions before, during, and after events, assists with site set-up
and takedown of Garden inventory, and assist the Event Services Manager to complete operational
tasks such as scheduling event facilitators, participating in walkthroughs with clients, and train Event
Facilitators following their hire date.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
Leads Event Facilitator team while providing a signature guest experience through outstanding
customer service.
Provide day-to-day support for the Event Services Manager as it relates to task management,
communication, calendars, client interaction, and data gathering.
Assist with execution of internal events to include but not limited to Garden buyouts, concerts, and
large-scale events.
Assist the Event Services team with event related functions to include pre-event walkthroughs, client,
and vendor communication. Post-event reports, and maintain financial reports related to security
deposits, and catering commissions, etc.
Enforce standard venue procedures, rules, and guidelines; report any violations to Event Services
Manager.
Maintain knowledge of Garden programs, events, grounds, and buildings.
Develops, maintains, and promotes positive and professional relationships with internal staff, vendors,
members, contractors, media, and the public to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Ability to execute early event load in on an occasional basis.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires two or more years related experience in events.
Previous experience leading, managing, and scheduling a team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment, to include the ability to multitask and
prioritize work.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Evenings, weekend, and / or holiday work may be required to deliver programs or to provide staff
support to events.
Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, or lifting.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or delivering programs in varying environmental
conditions.
Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly amongst a variety of personalities.
Compensation : Compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the
individual.
