What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Youth Lead position at Sandals Church?
SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute the network vision and strategies for youth ministry through excellent service programming.
- Lead excellent service programming for middle school and Wednesday night service programming.
- Invest in middle school students, leaders, and partner with parental roles to help them grow in being real with themselves, God and others.
- Stay connected with the campus Next Gen Director to report the ministry’s performance and stay aligned with the network vision and strategies that have been created.
BUILD AN EFFECTIVE MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM
- Equip, train, and empower leaders to invest in and disciple middle school students.
- Continually encourage, motivate, and care for leaders.
PRODUCE EXCELLENT MIDDLE SCHOOL WEEKEND EXPERIENCES
- Create and lead an environment and experience that holds our Next Gen values specifically designed for Middle School students to come every week.
- Connect and follow up with new students and families.
SUPPORT YOUTH TEAM FOR MIDWEEK YOUTH PROGRAMMING
- Work closely with High School Youth Lead to support by intentionally creating a midweek experience that is focused on creating experiences where students will: encounter a real God, experience real relationships, be equipped to have an everyday real faith, and empower students to live on mission.
- Support High School Youth Lead with execution of midweek Youth programming.
- Lead and be available for Middle School leaders.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:
- Experienced in youth ministry, program coordination, team leading, and event planning.
- Deeply passionate about working with teenagers and has a strong commitment to their spiritual growth and development.
- Effective and prompt with communication and relating to others.
- Organized and can oversee weekly student programming that includes many technical components.
- Experienced and successful in recruiting, motivating, and developing adults and students to become leaders.
- A team player who loves to collaborate.
- Willing to take initiative and get things done.
- Detail oriented with the capacity to see the big picture.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
- Pay Range: $20-$22 per hour.
- We will provide a pay rate that is within our compensation structure and that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage for a job offer
