What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Needs Associate position at Sandals Church?
THE ROLE:
Build the foundation of a special needs ministry that nurtures and supports kids, ages 2 through 6th grade, in their faith journey. This role is temporary (6 months) and will include a reevaluation at the conclusion of the six month period.
SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand the liabilities and legal responsibilities of caring for children with special needs
- Build a structure (including forms, communication avenues and training) for a special needs ministry
- Connecting with families to understand specific needs and then providing solutions
- Implementing an age-appropriate experience for families of kids with special needs
