What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at SandstoneCare?
Schedule: Full Time | Variable Schedule (May Include Weekend Hours)
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy as needed at our Residential Setting in Cascade ensuring personalized care for each client
- Step in for staff absences, support increased client census and provide general assistance, contributing to the smooth functioning of our programs
- Support clients at multiple levels of care, working with diverse mental health, substance use, and mood disorder diagnoses, guiding them on their journey to healing and recovery
- Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions, building rapport and trust to empower clients in their recovery process
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for clients to share their experiences and grow together
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists, medical providers, and house managers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Embrace a variable schedule with open and flexible availability, adapting to the needs of our clients and programs
- Complete BPS Assessments & Intakes as needed

- Clinical license is required: LPCC/LPC or LSW/LCSW or MFTC/LMFT
- All staff must be CPR-certified prior to their first day of employment
- Previous experience in substance abuse treatment, preferably in Residential and/or Outpatient settings
- Previous experience in mental health/mood disorder treatment is required
- Preferred clinical skills/abilities: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Strong Documentation Skills
