SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant contributes toward the company’s financial operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Oversees general accounting operations, prepares financial reports, ensuring accuracy of financial data, and recording, reporting, analysis of financial data, and coordinates and participates in audits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, along with other relevant month, quarter and year end tasks.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, reporting and safeguarding company assets.
- Assist in preparing the company’s budget and financial forecasts and analyze variances between budget and actuals.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, SOX).
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, vendor, customer, and intercompany accounts ensuring all transactions are properly documented and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Analyze costs and profitability, providing recommendations for cost control and process improvements.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, coordinate with tax consultants, and assist with tax planning.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, providing financial expertise and support to cross-functional teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5 years of directly related experience
- 2 years in a senior or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency using ERP system (preferably Syteline)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and tax regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a manufacturing industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary : $85,000 - $93,500
