The Importance of the Role
The Opportunity to Make a Difference
Use organizational and operational skills to help build efficiencies within the department
Optimize new and existing department/community touchpoints and build standard processes to ensure community insights are captured
Mapping of qualitative data sources to model a better understanding of community insights in aggregate
Contribute to data visualization reports that demonstrate trends in community needs, themes, and questions
Attend department meetings, virtual community events, and a selection of other meetings for exposure to the drug development process and community considerations
Sculpt and produce a cornerstone project with the help of Patient Affairs team
Support Patient Affairs team members in the execution of departmental tasks and responsibilities
More about You
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and working toward a degree in a field such as public or community health, biostatistics, sociology, or other related fields.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence systems; coursework in data analytics or computational analysis is a plus
Interest in patient education, research and development, and rare disease
Interest in genetic therapies and the ability to understand scientific concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in project leadership
Ability to anticipate and react to support the department
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Compassion, empathy, curiosity, the ability to listen
Microsoft Word, Excel, andPowerPointApplications
Ability to work independently as a remote contributor
Program Timeline:
This application is for a 12-week summer internship program that will start on May 19th and conclude on August 8th, 2025.
