PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Under minimum supervision, responsible to perform daily activities associated with the manufacture of coated goods using automated and manual equipment and processes to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include operating a robotic spray booth by monitoring process parameters, preparing coatings, loading and unloading products, basic maintenance of the paint systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understands all elements of the Cerakote application process including cleaning, masking, blasting, spraying, and curing
- Installs masking devices, as needed, prior to blasting and/or spraying
- Understands the use of manometer to maintain proper media flow through the air filtration equipment; replaces filters as needed
- Understands all forms of blasting including wheel blast, tumble barrel blast, and hand blast. Understands all aspects of vapor degreasing
- Maintain inventory of media, chemicals, and tools; works with MRO Buyers on replenishment as needed
- Works with Lead Engineer to develop and maintain preventative maintenance procedures and monitors completion of preventative maintenance to help maximize equipment run time.
- Hand sprays parts as needed
- Loads parts on proper fixtures as required by SOP
- Inspect parts per required quality protocol
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Trains new operators on how to perform tasks related to SOPs in a safe manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year experience in paint spray application
General knowledge of chemistry
Physical able to wear respirator (No facial hair required to wear respirator)
