Product Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Product Development team. This critical role will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch, ensuring products meet market needs and align with Scosche’s standards of innovation and quality. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to deliver best-in-class products that drive growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Lifecycle Management

• Oversee a product line from concept to mass production, including planning, prototyping, testing, and launch.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, specifications, and launch volumes.
• Serve as the primary liaison with manufacturing partners, ensuring production readiness and issue resolution.
• Coordinate material readiness, including mechanical parts, enclosures, and manufacturing tools.
• Ensure all products meet compliance standards by working closely with QA/QC teams.

Market Research & Strategy

• Identify new product opportunities through market analysis, customer insights, and competitive research.
• Monitor category performance, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to executive leadership to drive growth.
• Collaborate on pricing strategies and contribute to product roadmaps that align with Scosche’s business objectives.

Collaboration & Communication

• Facilitate cross-functional communication between engineering, design, marketing, and supply chain teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for factories, ensuring smooth communication and quality control.
• Provide regular project updates, status reports, and contingency plans to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to define and integrate quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
• Approve testing protocols for functionality, durability, and safety.
• Address and resolve product defects in partnership with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Monitor post-launch product performance and implement feedback for continuous improvement.

Product Launch & Market Execution

• Work with Marketing and Sales to help drive new product introductions, ensuring comprehensive launch materials and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with sales teams to convert opportunities into revenue and meet P&L goals.
• Prepare and recommend pricing adjustments for both new and existing products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience required; technical background preferred.
• 5 years of experience in product and project management, with expertise in managing the full product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes, including injection molding, power supplies, bluetooth, and wireless charging.
• Proven ability to source suppliers and build relationships with international manufacturing partners.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management tools, Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Smartsheets.
• Self-starter with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
