Director of Pharmacy
We are searching for a motivated Director of Pharmacy in Elko, Nevada!
Job Summary
The Director of Pharmacy will have the ability to assess a variety of complex situations and determine the most effective means to resolve situations. Leadership skills in decision making, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal relations are involved in the daily contracts of working with department directors, physicians, staff, visitors, and vendors. Is responsible to set the climate for cooperation between co-workers and shifts for a smooth-running operation. Requires judgment / action that could impact the patient's outcome.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements / objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal / external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Only after NV licensure is obtained (designee holds the following responsibilities until Director obtains licensure) Acts as the "Managing Pharmacist", who is responsible for compliance by the pharmacy and its personnel with all state and federal laws and regulations relating to the operation of the pharmacy and the practice of pharmacy.
