Jenkins Collision Center of Homosassa is Hiring a Body Shop (body tech) Near Homosassa, FL

Job Summary:
The role of the Body Shop (Body Tech) Specialist is to deliver a premium retail experience to our clientele while maintaining a high quality and performance-oriented environment. He/she will be measured by achieving 100% or greater hour efficiency; delivering the highest quality body repairs without comebacks; and by maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Technician must have a minimum of five years' experience in a dealership atmosphere and/or in a continuous improvement process/procedure-oriented shop environment.. He/she will be expected to produce outstanding quality results on time or earlier.
The ideal Collision Center Technician is a highly experienced auto paint specialist who takes extreme pride in his/her quality of work, has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, tear-down and finish work experience, a strong a trustworthy demeanor, and can drive both an automatic and standard.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
  • Perform work outlined on repair order with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality, and in accordance with dealership, insurance company, and GM, Mazda, and Kia standards
  • Immediately communicate with body shop manager if additional work is needed; if work outlines is not needed; and/or if repairs cannot be completed in the promised time
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order, with proper flag sheets, technician notes, etc.
  • Participate in all Paint Company, ICAR, ASE, or other training programs, certifications, schools, and events
  • Perform daily cleaning of all body shop areas prior to leaving for the day
  • Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals in good working order and assume accountability for those tools; return all tools/manuals to their proper place after use
  • Understand, stay abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operate all tooling and equipment in a safe manner
  • Immediately report safety issues to management
  • Assist fellow technicians in the learning process and act as a mentor to new technicians by illustrating best practices and by embracing/promoting quality repairs
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, or running on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, or maintaining body equilibrium when performing gymnastic feats
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees
  • Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine
  • Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear
  • Tasting/Smelling: Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors or odors, or recognizing particular flavors or odors using tongue or nose
  • Near Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
  • Far Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
  • Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
  • Visual Accommodation: Adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This factor is required when doing near point work at varying distances from the eye
  • Color Vision: Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Field of Vision: Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
