Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join our team supporting Digital Modernization program to provide agile technical delivery activities and are responsible for crafting technical strategy with our larger technical team. This position is remote.

Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying modern Java web applications iteratively in the AWS environment using DevSecOps tools
• Use of Object Oriented or Functional Programming Experience with Object Oriented or Functional Programming.
• Work in a JVM based language such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Familiar with Test Driven Development.
• Interested in Pair Programming.
• Experience working with Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP, etc...)
• Work in a JVM based environment with the technologies listed below in requirements.
• Active Public Trust Clearance with IRS agency is a requirement
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience in related area with at least 8 years of software engineering experience
• Strong programming skills with Java (8 ), Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data), JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, Python
• Experience working in Agile Development environments (Scrum, SAFe)
• At least 3 years of experience working in AWS environment
• Experience with DevOps / DevSecOps
• Experience working in cloud native systems.
• Experience implementing modern web applications.
• Experience leading teams of technologists of varying backgrounds and levels of experience.
• Experience managing end-to-end delivery, from UX design to production release.
• Experience working with Configuration Management / Automation technologies such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Experience working with container-based technology such as Docker.
• Experience working within a Continuous Delivery Patterns and Practices.
• Experienced operationalizing, monitoring, and maintaining distributed systems.
