Position: Vice President of Human Resources
Structure: Reporting to the CEO
Location: Naperville, IL (local candidates preferred)
Salary: $180,000-$225,000 Base, plus Bonus (based on experience)
With new ownership set to close within weeks, we are seeking a candidate ready to work hard and engage at every level, following the retirement of our trusted HR leader, leaving "big shoes" to fill. We are in search of a hands-on, seasoned HR professional who can dive into the details to ensure effective and efficient execution of all tactics. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Human Resources will collaborate with the Leadership Team to drive HR structure and key business strategies with a strong sense of urgency.
We are looking for a seasoned leader with a comprehensive HR background, ideally from a $200m multi-site, manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will seamlessly step into these "big shoes," bringing demonstrated experience in leading full-cycle HR functions, driving strategic HR initiatives aligned with business objectives, and navigating complex organizational challenges with agility. - Establish clear direction, set goals, support communication with managers
- Assist w/ standardizing processes, creating direction, maintaining best practices
- Implement organizational strategy and structure with urgency
- Promotes strategy, profitability, and growth within an organization
Provide guidance to leadership team on all HR related matters
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, workers compensation terminations
- Maintain safety programs, initiatives, compliances, & best practices
- Ensure company compliance with local, state federal labor laws
- Oversee recruitment, retention strategy and talent mgt initiatives
- Work vendors, benefit brokers, administrators, payroll, legal counsel
Ability to establish clear direction, set goals, and support open communication
- Serve as a trusted business advisor to the executive management team
- Strategic partner with short and long-term decisions and strategies
- Ability to anticipate and address emerging business needs and issues
- Organized leader who can identify areas of improvement and create change
- Balance strategic responsibilities with day-to-day tactical responsibilities
10 yrs progressive leadership from a $200m Multi-Site, Manufacturing Org.,
- Lead “all the above outlined” HR initiatives with integrity and commitment
- Managed a small HR team (including payroll) with hand’s on direction
- Lead a successful ADP implementation, streamlining payroll, HR, & benefits
- Willingness to travel to multi-site locations and internationally (as needed)
- Experience working with a Lender/PE Firm/Financial Sponsor (a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree, with a SPHR certification or equivalent (plus)
