What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Person position at Seattle Boat?
Seattle Parts Person
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain and stock inventory
- Read parts catalogs, prints & computer displays to determine replacement parts for customers
- Assist customers and mechanics with inquiries and provide technical data and part numbers
- Assist walk-in customers
- Issue parts, tools and supplies to mechanics and service job as required
- Create purchase orders and place orders with vendors for needed parts
- Assist in maintaining clean parts office & shop to ensure safe & orderly work environment
- Assist with physical inventory and perform cycle counts
- Properly tag all warranty parts and ship parts back for warranty review
- Help facilitate the processing of warranty claims
- Implement new technology into department
- Generation of revenue through sales of parts and accessories
- Monitor expenses of the parts department
- Ensure all work order tickets are completed and billed in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements:
- Deliver customer service of the highest quality, understanding the impact of enthusiastic, sincere service
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to effectively multitask
- Self-motivated spirit with close attention to detail
- Have a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well alone or with a team
- Competency in Word, Excel & Outlook
- Looking for someone to start immediately
Compensation:
- $22-$26/hr DOE
