We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mortgage Manager to lead our mortgage lending team. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the mortgage department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage loan origination processes from application through closing, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in loan processing and customer service.
- Review and approve loan applications, contracts, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations to keep the team informed and compliant.
- Utilize financial software for tracking loans and managing client relationships effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of loan files to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mortgage lending or financial services is required.
- Strong knowledge of loan origination processes and TILA regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software applications related to mortgage processing.
- Excellent math skills with the ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
- Familiarity with 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
- Previous experience as a loan officer or in contract management is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and team members.
