Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
- Participate in engineering activities, including design of chemical processes, unit operations, and related components, engineering reviews, work order preparation, and procurement
- Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through start up and operation
- Work directly with the customer and internal technical teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
- Work directly with operators to optimize processes to meet all customer and internal requirements
- Analyze and troubleshoot process problems to make continuous and permanent improvements
- Be responsible for assuring materials are organized and ready for manufacturing, including carrying out purchasing activities
- Create and maintain P&IDs of complex systems and processes
- Work with our technologies in a live production environment to learn about how processes can be improved; a certain degree of mechanical and process aptitude is required for this position
- Educate and provide recommendations regarding safety, permitting, and process improvement
- Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
- Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
- Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
- Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
- Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
- Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
- Maintain good organization skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Compensation range for this role is between range $80,000 and $130,000 anually
- The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
