Process Engineer

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented  Process Engineer to work remotely within the Midwest region of the United States!

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position: 

• Participate in engineering activities, including design of chemical processes, unit operations, and related components, engineering reviews, work order preparation, and procurement
• Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through start up and operation
• Work directly with the customer and internal technical teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
• Work directly with operators to optimize processes to meet all customer and internal requirements
• Analyze and troubleshoot process problems to make continuous and permanent improvements
• Be responsible for assuring materials are organized and ready for manufacturing, including carrying out purchasing activities
• Create and maintain P&IDs of complex systems and processes
• Work with our technologies in a live production environment to learn about how processes can be improved; a certain degree of mechanical and process aptitude is required for this position
• Educate and provide recommendations regarding safety, permitting, and process improvement
• Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
• Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
• Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
• Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
• Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
• Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
• Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
• Maintain good organization skills
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  
  

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field is required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required
• Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  
  

Additional Information

• Compensation range for this role is between range $80,000 and $130,000 anually
• The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
• Discretionary bonus
• Travel up to 40%
