Job Location – Saint Paul, MN

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift, 8am to 5pm, later on Mondays
Starting Pay - $22.00-$24.00

The Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This position involves applying payments to customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, addressing customer inquiries, supporting general ledger maintenance, and assisting with month-end and annual accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily customer payments, including those received via checks, credit cards, ACH, EFT, driver, and wire transfers.
- Scan customer checks for bank deposits.
- Investigate and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies, such as outstanding credits, short payments, skipped invoices, and other issues.
- Reconcile daily transactions, including payments, credits, voids, and service charges.
- Collaborate with the Staff Accountant to maintain the general ledger and manage daily cash balances.
- Support month-end close activities.
- Assist with annual audits, research projects, and other ad hoc tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage a high volume of emails and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
