Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Risk Management Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming mail, submitting insurance claims, gathering necessary documents, and communicating with various stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Organize incoming mail and forwarding or responding accordingly.
- Submit new Insurance claims to the appropriate carrier.
- Gather the necessary documents for the insurance carrier adjusters for them to complete their investigation.
- Communicate with claimants, vendors, and other business parties regarding claims.
- Promptly answer incoming calls and emails.
- Interact with claims adjusters and/or HR to provide current work status for injured employees regarding their workers’ comp claims.
- Create check requests for incoming invoices, ensuring they are properly coded and forwarding to AP for payment
- Review subrogation claims, gathering the necessary documents to submit claims against at-fault parties.
- Reviewing loss runs and ensuring that they are accurate as to the loss data
- Requesting Certificates of Insurance.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- 1-2 years general clerical experience.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient typing skills.
- General computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of auto and workers compensation claims handling preferred.
- Excel experience required
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work and interact with all levels of personnel.
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills are preferred.

- This position works inside a climate-controlled environment. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
- Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm.

- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
