What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at SellEthics Marketing Group?
Retail Associates are an essential part of our business. As a retail representative, you will represent SellEthics and our clients while providing sales and merchandising coverage for an assigned retail territory. This coverage includes but is not limited to interacting with store management and ensuring our assigned products are achieving authorized distribution, proper shelf location, proper facings, proper pricing, and that all shelf tags are legible and scannable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop key relationships with store and market managers
- Assist supervisors on retail initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc) as assigned
- Deliver 100% coverage each reporting cycle of assigned retail territory according to client frequency plans
- Report accurate information into SellEthics' proprietary network and transmitted on a daily basis
- Achieve new and existing item placement according to client speed-to-shelf guidelines
- Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts per plan-o-grams
- Rotate, stock, clean, setup displays, and price merchandise as appropriate, including transferring cases of product from the backroom to the sales floor
- Ensure client products are beautifully displayed. Shelves should look their best and are dusted, straightened, and no out-of-date or damaged product in on the sales floor
- Perform duties such as checking date codes, ensuring adherence to approved plan-o-gram
- Report observations to the Unit Manager regarding outdated product, unbalanced stock, any out-of-stocks, and point of purchase requirements
- Identify, build, and assemble fixtures and displays including seasonal sets, asking for assistance when necessary
- Ensure retail tags are properly displayed
- Rotate and manage all limited shelf-life products as directed by the Retail District Manager and Director of Retail Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to climb, reach, bend, rotate, stoop, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reside within the assigned territory
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability and authorization to drive a retail route
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Policies and procedures that affect our services (i.e. customer check-in procedures, ordering of tags, etc.)
- Products that we represent and read product dating
