Billing Specialist

We operate within the fuel industry, servicing not only gas stations, but also any location where fuel systems are present. Our team of experts specializes in installing and maintaining primary fuel pumps and dispenser manufacturer’s equipment, as well as providing spill containment maintenance. We also service electronic point of sale systems, and other electronic devices and systems commonly found at service stations. Our comprehensive service offerings extend to include air quality and environmental testing through our dedicated compliance department. Many of the systems and equipment we service and maintain are integral to your daily life.

We’re excited to open the position of Billing Specialist and potentially have you as part of our growing company! This position would report to the Billing Manager and will fill a Monday through Friday schedule. Your role is crucial in supporting the company’s financial operations, ensuring smooth, timely, and accurate billing of key customer accounts.

Job Duties:

• Review completed service job for accuracy and determine appropriate billing details.
• Generate accurate and timely invoices for customers based on job scope and contract terms.
• Identify discrepancies in billing, resolve errors, and ensure correct charges before each submission.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal teams (service, accounting and finance, etc.) to verify job details and clarify billing questions.
• Ensure billing is compliant with customer billing requirements and contractual agreements.
• Maintain organized records, ensure data entry accuracy, and take a positive customer service approach to all tasks.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance billing speed and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training (e.g., certification, degree).
• Understanding of some billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate), with basic skills in Excel.
• Strong typing speed (mid to high words per minute) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to review data critically and resolve discrepancies logically.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to think quickly and exercise sound judgment.
• Exceptional data entry accuracy while maintaining a high work speed.
• A team player who takes direction well, learns from mistakes, and is self-motivated with strong personal accountability.
• Professionalism and respectful communication are essential for this role.

Compensation & Benefits

• This position is expected to pay between $24-$26 per hour.
