Summary
The Mitigation Crew Chief is responsible for leading a team of Mitigation Technicians to successfully execute disaster restoration projects. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, safety awareness, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management : Assess damage, develop mitigation plans, order necessary materials, assign tasks, and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion.
Team Leadership : Guide and motivate Mitigation Technicians, provide training and coaching, and address performance issues.
Quality Control : Ensure all work adheres to industry standards, company protocols, and safety regulations. Inspect job sites for proper execution.
Customer Communication : Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing clear updates, managing expectations, and resolving concerns.
Documentation : Complete detailed job reports, including damage assessments, photos, moisture readings, and work summaries.
Safety Compliance : Promote and enforce a safe work environment, ensure the use of PPE, and conduct safety briefings.
Equipment Management : Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, schedule maintenance, and oversee proper tool and equipment use.
Training and Development : Stay updated on industry standards, attend relevant training, and identify training needs for crew members.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience in the restoration industry, with previous leadership experience preferred.
Proven technical expertise in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fire / smoke cleanup.
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in high-stress environments.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
