Job Title: Head Cheer Coach
Location: Seton Catholic Preparatory
Position Type: Contract (Stipend)
Immediate Hire – Tryouts Begin in April
Seton Catholic Preparatory is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Cheer Coach to lead and develop our spirited cheer program. This is a contract position with an immediate start and requires a dedicated individual who is eager to make a positive impact on our team. The cheer coach will guide our athletes in training, performances, and competition preparation from April through June, with continued commitment from August through March.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the cheer program, including practices, performances, and competition preparation.
- Prepare the cheer team for sideline cheers, halftime routines, and competitive events.
- Organize and attend school events, such as football and basketball games.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team environment.
- Manage team practices, games, and events in collaboration with athletic staff.
- Ensure all athletes adhere to safety protocols and cheerleading standards.
- Develop and maintain a competitive cheer program with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and school spirit.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in cheerleading, spiritline, or related sports.
- Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, including tumbling and stunting.
- Ability to lead a team, create training programs, and foster athlete growth.
- Commitment to the safety and well-being of all athletes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with students, parents, and staff.
- Fingerprint clearance card (or ability to obtain one) required.

Expected hours: 10 per week
Schedule:
- After school
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- cheer coaching: 3 years (Preferred)
- working with high school students: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching course completion (Preferred)
- AZ fingerprint clearance card (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Chandler, AZ 85224 (Required)
