Job Description:

Central State Hospital is hiring for a full time Security Officer (Main Entrance)

This position is Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM, including some holidays

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Provides security coverage for the hospital main entrance

• Processes visitors and manages phone inquiries in a timely manner

• Provides professional and courteous customer experience when addressing internal/external client needs

• Assures each visitor and staff present the proper identification for hospital entry

• Abides by HIPAA regulations and protects all protected health information (PHI)

• Notifies departments and units of visitors or deliveries

• Maintains appointment/visitation schedule, hospital data, patient cab vouchers

• Monitors interior/exterior surveillance cameras in the main entrance panel and reports unusual occurrences

• Assists in coordinating patient transportation, medical emergencies, patient medical off campus appointments and patient return transports

• Provides security administrative support as needed

• Completes all annual training within specified timeframes and other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School degree

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills
