Overview
Well established busness seeking to hire 2 full time accomplished seamstresses. We specialize in altering formal atire, wedding gowns, high end apparel and some general alterations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in garment construction and garment fitting, with the ability to work efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality production standards are met while delivering exceptional craftsmanship in every piece altered.
Duties
- Operate various sewing machines , cover stitch, serger, blind hemmer and industrial machines.
- Pin garment on client
- Steam dresses
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet design specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and fulfill customer request.
- Familiarity with zippers and boning.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the sewing process and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sewing and garment construction is required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to alter accurately.
- Familiarity with different fabrics and their properties is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Starting pay depends on experience.
