At Summit Equipment Distribution, the Business Accounting Manager should be an accomplished professional with a strong accounting background and a strategic business mindset. The Business Accounting Manager's primary role will be the Internal and External financial and accounting reporting for Summit Equipment Distribution and its affiliated dealerships. Working with the Sewer Equipment Corporate Accounting Team to provide support across a broad range of business and financial operations for Summit Equipment family of dealerships. The Business Accounting Manager will be responsible for consolidated operational and financial roll-ups to best provide a complete overview of both individual dealer performance, and Summit Equipment Distribution as an enterprise.
Responsibilities :
- Provide guidance and support to dealership staff, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present operational and financial reports to management.
- Certify an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Initiate budget and forecasting activities.
- Maintain accurate records of warranty and trade receivables and support timely collection.
- Oversee proper recognition of all sales, cost of goods, inventory, and related costs.
- Prepare monthly sales commissions.
- Coordinate with the Controller and CFO on daily cashflow requirements.
- Coordinate the completion of internal, external, and floor plan audits.
- Ensure the appropriate classification and recording of financial transactions.
- Provide periodic updates to management of inventory, sales, receivables, and related activities.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant accounting and regulatory requirements
- Assist in development & implementation of new procedures and features to enhance workflow of business.
- Work closely with ERP providers with Summit Dealers to collaborate and consolidate relevant business and financial data for reporting purposes.
