Statistician

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Remote Statistician for a part time contract assignment with one of our clients in Ann Harbor, Michigan .

Summary:
Our client provides business analysis services to their clients. This new opening was brought on to support a new account so they will be focused on one account and working primarily with their datasets. This role is project-based as they provide their services to a new client. Due to the nature of this role, they anticipate 30-60 hours of part time help with an undetermined duration. It should be manageable for someone with a light work load or other part time job.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Development and Operations teams.
• Come up with statistical models on datasets that they receive from the client this role will be supporting.
• Develop statistical models within the timeframes allocated - likely weekly or monthly timeframes.
• Will be working on multiple models and transferring to Python.
• Translate data into business terms and present to management & other internal stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Strong skills/knowledge of one of the following - SAS/R/MATLAB
• Must be very proficient with Python
• Must have exposure to a variety of data models
• Exceptional communication skills
• Experience building forecasting models.

Preferred Skills:

• Ideally will have a Master's in Statistical Modeling but not required with strong relevant experience.
