Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is accepting applications for Restaurant Server/Host for morning and afternoon shifts

The Hilton Short Pump is owned and operated by Shamin Hotels, central Virginia's largest hotel management company. Having tripled in size to 75 full and select service hotels over the past ten years, we own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags.

This is envisioned as a “utility” position serving in several restaurant and cafe positions where needed, including as breakfast and lunch server, host or afternoon barista during the week and on weekends.

Restaurant Server Job Duties

• Provide guests with excellent service by demonstrating knowledge of all menu items.
• Set-up and breakdown various stations (deli, dessert, coffee) as assigned
• Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating
• Takes guests orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Place orders with kitchen; inform cooks about special cooking instructions
• Serves beverages and meals
• Performs quality check to ensure guest satisfaction
• Handles cash and credit card charges accurately
• Clear and reset tables when the guests have left the restaurant.
• Keeps table, dining room, café and bus station areas clean at all times
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
• Performs other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the position include the following:

• Previous restaurant/hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
• Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee and tea and the preparation of them
• The position requires the capability to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
• Must have a passion for hospitality and food service.
• Must be willing to live up to the high standards of guest service and conduct expected of Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Shamin Hotels.
• Must have open availability with the flexibility to work various schedules as business demands, including weekends and holidays.
