Shane Co. is Hiring a Remote Business Intelligence Manager (Remote)

Overview

The Business Intelligence Manager (BI Manager) is responsible for driving business intelligence that will help individual business units within the organization to evaluate complex issues and make informed decisions. This role will be responsible for leading developers in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment. This individual must have strong business and technical acumen. The BI Manager must be willing to do individual contributor work, be in the mix technically, and provide leadership to the BI team. This role will work closely with business units to develop and maintain reporting needs and the overall reporting roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and implementation of the BI and data strategy, organizational structure, and technical architecture
  • Liaison, partner, and establish relationships with key collaborators across the organization to ensure agreement, maintain compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and align data, BI, and analytic strategies
  • Provide data solutions related to business strategies
  • Support and lead team on data initiatives and ensure optimal and consistent data delivery architecture throughout projects
  • Create and implement strategies to build a foundation to advance our analytics roadmap
  • Recognize and adopt best practices and new tools and methodologies in data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions and help drive data driven decisions
  • Establish and maintain best practices for quality control such as BI Governance and a BI development lifecycle
  • Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional groups to implement solutions and deliver projects that meet their needs
  • Identify and procure talent to sustain the development team on an ongoing basis
  • Institute and oversee data governance guidelines and practices
  • Empower and mentor members of your team to grow their skills and advance their career goals
  • Mentor and assist team with direction setting for tasks
  • Evaluate and engage with 3rd party vendors for opportunities to partner with our IT team

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of development and management experience with BW/4HANA, SAP Business Objects, Webi Report Design, Analysis for Office, Lumira, and SAP ECC
  • Proven understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Must possess strong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills and be highly motivated
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers, both verbally and in writing, including ability to effectively present information to top management and key executives
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and operational excellence; ability to simultaneously lead large projects and manage rapid delivery of requests
  • Must possess a collaborative style and be able to partner with all levels in the organization as key business stakeholders
  • Must promote and maintain a high quality, professional, solution-oriented culture
  • Must have mature analytical skills as evidenced by the ability to solve problems, identify improvement opportunities, and create effective action plans during the performance of assigned tasks
  • Must be able to prioritize one’s own workload and that of the team to work independently and autonomously; demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a matrix setting influencing outcomes to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic retail omni channel environment strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or related degree
  • Additional technical skills preferred: knowledge of retail metrics and experience with Azure

Work Environment

The primary environment for this role is a remote work space provided by the employee. Considerable business is conducted using the telephone and computer technology. Note that all hybrid and remote work conditions are covered in the Company’s current Remote Work Policy and Remote Work Agreement, incorporated here by reference. Travel may be required to stores, Home Office, conferences or events up to 5% of the time

The salary range for this role is $124,500 - $160,000 annually. The range describes the minimum to maximum likely rate for this job description in the state of Colorado. Individual pay will be determined based on skills and qualifications for the role.
