We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Route Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: The Route Supervisor will be responsible for managing 15 routes across the Baltimore area, as well as throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia. This role requires a strong understanding of route-based operations and logistics, along with the ability to manage a team of box truck drivers efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on improving team performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage 15 daily medical waste routes across Baltimore, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
• Supervise a team of box truck drivers, ensuring timely and safe transportation of medical waste.
• Monitor and optimize route schedules, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Proactively resolve operational issues, such as route delays or driver concerns, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Track and analyze route performance using basic computer and math skills to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to drivers to enhance performance and safety.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and management to report route status, driver performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a focus on customer service, ensuring that all client expectations are met or exceeded.

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in route management or logistics, preferably in the waste disposal, medical, or transportation industries.
• Experience managing a team of drivers and understanding driver schedules and performance metrics.
• Basic computer and math skills for tracking performance and managing operations.
• Proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in medical waste disposal or hazardous materials management.
• Knowledge of the Baltimore, Maryland, and Northern Virginia areas.
• Previous supervisory experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
