Shields Auto Center is a family-owned Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram franchise dealer in Rantoul, Illinois. We sell new vehicles in addition to a wide selection of quality pre-owned cars, trucks, vans, and SUV's. We moved into a brand new, state of the art facility in November of 2019.

Shields Auto Center is looking to fill the Parts Manager position. This individual will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Parts Department and providing prompt and effective customer service to our customers in a professional manner.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be able to provide quality customer service
• Must be able to efficiently and effectively multi-task, while working in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong communication skills, especially with customers and serve as a liaison between technicians and the parts department
• Must have basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
• Must be professional and work well with others
• Must have strong work ethic and attendance
• Must have a have a valid Drivers License
• Must have previous Management experience in a Ford or Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram automotive Parts Department, both is ideal

Job Responsibilities

• Order, Maintain and Manage Parts Department inventory
• Interview, Hire, and Supervise all parts department personnel, in addition to monitoring their customer service
• Create Goals and Objectives for the department, which includes an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business
• Keep up to date on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representative
• Maintain the highest Customer Service Index (CSI) rating from customers and handle complaints immediately and according to dealership policy
• Maintain and actively seek additional Wholesale accounts in the area
• Other Duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, walking, standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling.
