Throughout our season we host weekly BBQ events, weddings, à la carte dining, creative member events, and intimate tasting menus. This allows our culinary team to showcase their talents and bring innovative and delightful experiences to our members. We have a great culture within our team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our awesome culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting delectable pastries, desserts, and baked goods, as well as a strong commitment to excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Create a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with our brand and seasonal offerings.
- Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present pastries and desserts in a attractive and consistent manner, ensuring high standards of taste and appearance.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, ensuring efficient stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Compliance & Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and hygienic regulations, maintaining a clean and organized environment at all times.
- Member Satisfaction: Engage with members to understand their preferences and feedback.
- Ordering & Receiving: Manage the ordering of baking ingredients and supplies, coordinating with the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
- Formal culinary training or a diploma in pastry arts is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, pastry recipes, and flavor profiles.
- Strong creative skills and the ability to develop innovative and visually appealing desserts.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and team to ensure cohesive and efficient kitchen operations, providing guidance and support to line-level staff members.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong cake background (decorating, recipes, production)
- Must posses/can acquire state sanitation manger certification.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety procedures for kitchen and food preparation areas.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay range - $60,000 - $70,000. Pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.
