Job Overview
Shriners Children's has an opportunity for a Full-Time Laundry Technician to join our team. The Laundry Technician is responsible for doing various jobs in the laundry and must able able to operate the dryers, flat ironer, and uniform press. The Technician collects soiled linen from linen using areas. Shakes out and weighs soil linen for filling the washers while following Standard Precaution procedures, must know laundry classifications. The Technician loads dryers and sets timer to correct drying time, unloads linen and folds to load clean linen carts. Keeps linen using areas inventory to the correct predetermines level as determine by usage studies. Cleans equipment and laundry at end of day. Maintains production records, and maintains children clothing needs.
Schedule: Full-Time (FTE 1.0)
Compensation range: Pay range for this position is $16.77/hr - $22.27/hr. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

Responsibilities
- Follows standard precautions in gathering and processing soil linen.
- Operates washers, dryers and other laundry equipment according to procedures.
- Neatly folds and sorts clean linen and clothing.
- Loads clean linen according to standard, and distributes linen to floor/department as scheduled.
- Checks equipment daily, reporting any problems to Supervisor.
- Is ready, willing and able to act to meet customer needs.
- Recognizes and protects the confidential nature of information within the work environment.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the Laundry and associated equipment.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma/GED, preferred
- 1 year laundry experience preferred
Salary : $17 - $22
