At Shriners Children's St. Louis, we have a team of physicians and specialists who are highly trained and experienced in pediatric orthopedics. This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Other specialties you will find at our facility include limb lengthening and reconstruction, spine care, muscular and neuromuscular care, orthotics and prosthetics and plastic surgery.

Responsibilities
- The Manager, Health Information Management is responsible for managing, coordinating and performing day to day HIM departmental operations and staff supervision.
- The HIM Manager will oversee and implement facility related HIM operational planning, initiatives, budgets, workfow processes and internal controls.
- Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing workflows, appraising employee performance and rewards, addressing complaints and resolving problems, actively overseeing and managing production and quality control efforts, supporting local colleges with education of HIM students, serving as the facility Privacy Offier and designated Facility Records Custodian.
- Associates degree in Applied Science - Health Information Management
- 3 years experience in HIM
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through AHIMA
- Ability to provide effective leadership to assigned staff and utilize appropriate management methods and practices.
