The individual job will include removing unwanted pest's such as rats, rodents, insects, cockroaches, bugs, ants, and bed bugs from an infested environment or building.
also the identification of potential pests and designing effective control strategy and treatment methods.
A pest control technician’s work description entails keeping a building free from pest, thereby maintaining the structural integrity of the building and ensuring the health and safety of occupants.
To carry out his/her role effectively, the technician must design and carry out pest management plans and be knowledgeable about the identity and biology of different types of pest infestation's.
Pest control technician will under go training in pesticide use and safety, for insect, rodents control and termite control.
These functions are client specific and could be the same or different from one client to another, depending on the client’s needs.
Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge – for the Role of a Pest Control Technician * Must possess physical stamina and be able to withstand harsh conditions as the nature of the job requires standing for a long period of time and working in an uncomfortable environment
