Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Paving Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing concrete paving equipment, including GNZ 600 pavers, Wirtgen 94i, and Gomaco Commander 3 machines, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Work locations will vary depending on the job site where the equipment is located or may take place at our main office in Scott, LA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing on GNZ 600, Wirtgen 94i, and Gomaco Commander 3 pavers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on paving equipment.
- Replace, repair, or adjust machine components as necessary.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and report equipment performance issues.
- Work collaboratively with the construction team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic working on concrete paving equipment, particularly GNZ 600, Wirtgen 94i, and Gomaco Commander 3.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license, clear driving record to operate Siema vehicle(s), and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance are a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy highway and road construction operations.
