SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:
The CAM Engineer is responsible for reviewing customer supplied data and drawings, performing design rule checks and the creation of manufacturing data, programs and tools required for the manufacture of printed circuit boards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Import customer data into various CAM systems.
- Perform design rule checks and edit data to comply with manufacturing guidelines.
- Create array configurations, rout and test programs, Panelization and output data for production use.
- Itemize and correspond design issues with customers.
- Receive and share knowledge in a team environment.
- Work extended hours and perform other duties based on the needs of the department and company.
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:
- AA Degree preferred.
- 0-3 years’ experience as a CAM Engineer for reputed PCB Manufacturing Company.
- Must have a clear understanding of processes required to manufacture high tech PCB’s.
- Prior experience with valor software a plus.
- Prior experience of working on CAM of HDI, Flex and Rigid Flex is a plus
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (Valor & ProCIM).
- Ability to make mathematical calculations and utilize complex drawings.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours base on the need of the department and company.
- Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management
- Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
