Overview
Reporting to the VP Marketing, the Director of E-Commerce is responsible for owning all aspects of the E-Commerce channel, with P&L responsibility. This role is responsible for website performance and merchandising with a focus on revenue growth, driving new customer acquisition and retention, and improving the customer experience. This role is Hybrid; We are seeking someone with the ability to regularly work in our SF or LA offices.

- Oversee the e-commerce channel with full profit-and-loss accountability.
- Lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of SightglassCoffee.com in collaboration with the development agency, ensuring strong performance across sales and user engagement metrics as well as successful deployment of new features and functionality.
- Develop strategy and execute on email marketing campaigns from concept to send, driving engagement, sales, and customer retention.
- Provide strategic thought leadership for the e-commerce channel and drive long-term growth through careful planning and execution.
- Manage forecasting, volume planning, and regular reporting to ensure the e-commerce business meets its targets and growth objectives.
- Manage affiliate marketing, PR, and paid media campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives and maximizing impact.
- Lead creative briefings to internal and external partners to ensure content and assets align with e-commerce goals and brand vision.
- Manage online merchandising efforts, including content updates for product pages, landing pages, and collection pages. Implement SEO best practices and promotional strategies to enhance site visibility and conversions.
- Lead the project management of the digital product roadmap, ensuring timely execution of new features and functionality releases with both external developers and internal cross-functional teams.
- Track and develop reporting for internal stakeholders on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, traffic, user behavior, and other site performance metrics to inform data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to create annual budgets and track performance against financial targets throughout the year.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- 5 years of experience in e-commerce with progressive responsibility, ideally within DTC retail or CPG industries.
- Proven expertise in developing and overseeing digital marketing strategies.
- Experience leading e-commerce in a multi-channel business environment, partnering closely with channel leaders to ensure a consistent brand experience in various customer journeys.
- Strong understanding of web design, web analytics, and site performance.
- Experience managing owned media channels (PR, affiliate, social media, websites, customer communications).
- Ability to manage project timelines and prioritize deliverables effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
- Strategic mindset focused on e-commerce growth and success.
- Executional excellence with proven success in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to maneuver effectively around the café, office, and up/downstairs.
- Hybrid work environment; ability to regularly work in our SF or LA offices.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
