Lab Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Lab Supervisor to join our team in Kirkland, WA. This role is full-time in-office. The pay range is $35-$40.00/hour.

Primary Function:

The Lab Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating SIGMADESIGN’s assigned laboratory operations and performance. This includes attention and adherence to laboratory quality requirements and support of quality initiatives. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with their team, their manager, and other departments.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

• Lab Layouts
• Supporting demo setups
• Ordering consumables, parts and equipment
• Inventory management of consumables, tools, hardware and parts
• Management of finished prototypes
• Build and test hardware components and fully integrated systems
• Documentation write-ups for various builds and testing procedures
• Facilitating lab moves
• POC for designated spaces
• POC for vendors, customers and partners
• Mantaining a clean lab space for day to day operations

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Strong ability to read complex schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical prints required. Strictly follow engineering directions or procedures required.
• Process-driven: highly detailed and organized with ability to manage projects, tasks and time well.
• Experience with the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other typical electronics/electrical lab equipment.
• Soldering experience including surface mount and fine pitch components.
• Detail oriented with a focus on quality, execution and follow through.
• Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

• Pass a post-offer background verification.

Work Environment

Standard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
