Silgan Closures seeks Maintenance Planner

The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment. The Maintenance Planner is expected to schedule maintenance in a way that minimizes equipment downtime and the impact on Production. They will focus on developing maintenance programs and processes that facilitate equipment capability, reliability, and availability to the plant by applying Reliability Centered Maintenance practices to reduce failure risks.

• Must be accurate and trustworthy with a positive attitude that embraces change and continuous improvement in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Engineering degree preferred or equivalent technical experience (5 years) in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance required.
• Previous maintenance scheduling and planning experience required
• Exceptional project management skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills to include MS Office and Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge of CMMS preferred
• Must be a self-starter; possess good people skills, strong personal leadership, organizational skills, oral and written communication skills.
• Uses technical skills to effectively solve problems and complete difficult assignments
