Optical Product Technician

We are looking for an Optical Product Service Technician to join our Operations Team. This is a Full-time in office position, Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm.

**Individuals with previous work history using small tools, parts and pieces and an excellent attention to detail are strongly encouraged to apply.

The product service technician is responsible for performing a quality inspection on returned products, assessing and categorizing return reason, and issuance of proper credit where warranted. This position will also perform the necessary procedures for service orders and custom clip on production as well as national account order processing and assembly related to the mounting of Rx lenses produced by Silhouette Vision Sensation for patient frames.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

· Inspect returned products, utilizing established quality standards, to determine if a credit should be given to an account.

· Process credits associated with defective and returned products.

· Order replacement products if necessary

· Process service orders, (temple or bridge swap) and special orders, (sun clips and service clips).

· Process returns from Account Executives as consignment returns.

· Process Silhouette Vision Sensation jobs/orders per the specifications.

· Special projects as assigned, for example AE sample trays and Key Account sample trays

· Handle discrepancies on returns; call accounts or Account Executive to resolve.

Minimum Requirements and Special Skills

· High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 months in previous role with a focus on attention to detail.

· A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

· A commitment to quality, reliability and an excellent work ethic.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs. Must be able to manipulate small pieces and parts. This position requires sitting for extended periods of time. May require walking on a level surface for periods throughout the day.

Equipment used: Standard office equipment including , Excel, Word, Outlook, outbound phone calls, RF Scanning gun. Standard optical tools including screw drivers, pliers, small pieces and parts, magnifying equipment and service clip assembly tools.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
