What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Officer position at Silver Slipper Casino & Hotel?
Overall responsibility for insuring the Casino Operations are in compliance with the MS Gaming regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reports to the G.M./Chief Operating Officer;
- Responsible for insuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to the operations of the Silver Slipper Casino;
- Maintains knowledge of regulations set forth by the Mississippi Gaming Commission regarding casino operations;
- Maintains a clear understanding of the Silver Slipper Casino Internal Controls;
- Responsible for addressing day-to-day inquiries or issues regarding internal controls;
- Responsible for submissions to the Mississippi Gaming Commission to obtain approvals for table games additions, deletions and/or moves, cage and count room access, marketing promotions, count and drop times and any other approvals required by Mississippi Gaming Commission;
- Acts as a liaison between the Mississippi Gaming Commission and the Silver Slipper Casino;
- Responsible for keeping Mississippi Gaming Commission Self-Excluded lists up to date and distributed to proper departments;
- Responsible for addressing day-to-day inquiries or issues regarding security background investigations and related reports; internal memoranda and correspondence; and any other policies or programs published by the company that are of a compliance nature;
- Perform and report regulatory issues to prevent violations or possible fines;
- Reviews financial operating procedures and ensures that these procedures comply with applicable gaming regulations.
- Responsible for submitting CTR’s and SAR’s to the IRS;
- Responsible for over-seeing the Title 31 Training;
- Responsible for annual testing of gaming employees on CTR’s, SAR’s and Self-Exclusion;
- Responsible for keeping the casino in compliance with AML and Title 31 Regulations
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
