Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. Duties
- Provide technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone calls, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various operating systems including Windows and Mac OS.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
- Assist with network administration tasks including DNS and TCP/IP configurations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on computer systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and improve overall service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices in desktop support.
Experience
- Proven experience in a technical support role or help desk environment.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with network concepts such as LAN, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Active Directory for user management is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical expertise.
