What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food & Beverage Associate position at Six Flags Theme Parks?
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service while surrounded by roller coasters.
- Greet and ask guests about their favorite ride as they walk up to your location.
- Take guests’ orders, offering suggestions and upsells about the most delicious menu items.
- Feed hungry guests promptly and satisfy growling stomachs with fresh, made-to-order foods.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) cash registers.
- Prepare everything from double bacon cheeseburgers to ice cold soft drinks to delectable funnel cake sundaes and more.
- Fill condiment dispensers, wipe down tables, wash dishes, and keep all areas clean and safe for guests.
- Ability to work in an environment as fast-paced as our coasters.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the Six Flags mantra.
- Maintain a friendly, outgoing personality inviting guests to your station.
- Ability to work with a team to relay food orders as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude to make guests excited about their meal.
- Have a passion for delicious food.
- Follow all Six Flags grooming and sanitation guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds (40lbs) occasionally
- Be able to work within a team environment to accomplish common goals.
- Must be willing to take direction from managers and supervisors.
- Must have a good grasp of reading, writing, and math.
- Must be at least 15 years old to apply
This position reports directly to Food & Beverage Leads.
