What you will do:
As our Test Engineering Technician for our Embedded Controls, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Engineering Team design, develop, produce, and maintain robust PCB test fixtures and systems to ensure the quality and reliability of our products for our customers. This position works in our New Hope, MN facility.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be assisting the Engineering Team in the design and production of hard test fixtures to perform functional tests. You will develop and maintain the Proprietary Bed of Nails Universal Test Bench including the DAQ system, Python UX/UI library while creating and supporting standard test platforms and inserts. You will design and construct test fixtures using our platform for devices under test (DUT) including aspects of mechanical, electrical, programming and user interfaces and ensure their reliability. You will also design and build test fixtures for devices that do not meet the criteria for Automated Bed of Nails testing. You will own the new product development (NPD) test process and act as a liaison between Engineering and Quality Assurance. You will develop and maintain instructions, procedures, and standards for circuit board testing and ensure test robustness to guarantee assemblies are fully tested.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must understand circuit boards and embedded products, how they work, including test methodology, test fixture design and development. You should be familiar with Python and have familiarity with DAQ systems and Bed of Nails test platforms. You must have the ability to collaborate and troubleshoot across engineering and quality assurance teams. A 2-year technical degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar with 1-2 years of experience or a 4-year Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree are preferred.
