Job description
We are looking for a Carpenter Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the carpenters in the construction and repair of structures and fixtures made of wood, such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and furniture. The Carpenter Helper will be responsible for providing support to the carpenters by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to instructions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic carpentry skills who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler or measuring tape.
- Load and unload building materials from delivery trucks.
- Assemble and secure material with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.
- Assist in the installation of windows, doors, and cabinets.
- Clean up work areas and dispose of scrap materials properly.
